Meet Dr. Jeannie
Dr. Jeannie Miller-Clarkson is the researcher behind a groundbreaking study linking emotional intelligence and performance-based self-esteem with burnout among Christian pastors. She is founder of Christian Care Connection, a multi-staff professional counseling center in the greater Toledo, Ohio area.
Jeannie is known as a counselor, entrepreneur and leader in the local Christian community. Christian Care Connection, launched in 2000, provides distinctively professional Christian counseling in the Toledo area. Jeannie’s heart for pastors led her to join the South Monroe County Ministerial Association where she was elected President three years consecutively, 2005 – 2008.
Jeannie is a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Biblical Studies from East Coast Bible College (now Lee University), a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Walden University.
Jeannie and her husband Bud are members of Hope United Methodist Church in Toledo, Ohio, where they team teach the Disciples Sunday School class.
Bud Clarkson manages the business operations of Christian Care Connection. Bud has enjoyed a diverse career in ministry, management, teaching, training and coaching, all focused on leadership and organizational development. He uses his training and education background to help Jeannie design effective, interesting, informative and transformational workshops and seminars. On occasion, he assists in the presentation, too!
Bud also works as a Career Consultant, helping clients associated with America's top corporations navigate job loss and other career transitions.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Lee University and a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies from Azusa-Pacific University.
